Did you know that Presidents’ Day is based around first president of the United States birthday? George Washington was born on February 22, 1732 and the holiday was originally established in 1885. It became known as Presidents’ Day after the 1971’s Uniform Monday Holiday Act, which attempted to create more three-day weekends for the nation’s workers. To celebrate, we’re taking a look at the dogs of the U.S. Presidents over the years:
